this is my first topic to this forum, i am totally new to this mobile technology. but suddenly i was asked to create a site from where using a mobile user can able to download the application, i am totally confused. I don't know how to start, anyone please give me some idea?

First of all do you want to "Download an application from pc to mobile" or "create a site from where using a mobile user can able to download the application" ?
There are a number of ways to do either, the easiest being :
PC to mobile: use the tools that came with your handset.
Web to mobile: put your .jar file on the site and provide a hyperlink.

thanks for responding, I am explaining my problem clearly, i want to create a site where i want to give a link, by clicking on that link the user can able to download the application (i.e. an .exe) file to his mobile. And the user should not be able to download the application by browsing through internet, just like the www.ea.mobile.nokia.com site please suggest me something.

1. Mobile J2ME applications are not exe files. If you are looking for something pertaining to devices running Windows Mobile, you're on the wrong forum. Maybe even on the wrong site.
2. www.ea.mobile.nokia.com does not seem to exist, are you sure you got the url correct?
3. If you want tips for web page development, you're even more on the wrong forum, and definitely on the wrong site.
