Is anyone running it in a production environment that is replicated with a minimum of 250k entries. Any issues? How do you like it? Did anyone switch to all masters? The admin book recommended it so I thought I would consider it since we can do it now. I currently run 5.2p3 with 2 masters and 5 consumers so I would end up with 7 masters.
Is there an easy way in 6.1 to copy plugins from one instance to another? I notice that DSCC doesnt copy it.

6.1 has been out for only over a month and I know of at least one customer with 6.1 in production and several millions of entries, with MMR.
The recommendation to have a Masters only deployment is a way to ease backups and recovery, as all servers will most likely be identical in their configuration. Backup could then be done on any server, and restored on any server (as long as they are running on the same OS and configured identically).
Now, sometime it is easier to deal with consumers, especially when applications connecting to the Directory Service are not fully controlled by the administrators, and thus the consumers are only providing read access.
To finish with your questions, there is no easy way to copy plugins and plugins configuration from an instance to another.
