Difference between DS 6.1 Patch and Full install downloads?
Whats the difference between the DS 6.1 Full install download compared to the Patch install download? Does the patch version patch the full version? Whats the deal? Sorry, It's kind of confusing.

if we have DS6.0 on system and need to upgrade to 6.1 then it is enough if we download 6.1 patch and upgrade it.
Full version download means if u dont have DS on your system and need to install DS6.1 then we go for FULL download

I'm a little confused about DS6.1
The download page shows a patch to 6.1 and the full download of version 6.0. Is correct to assume that the version 6.1 IS version 6.0 with a patch applied on top of it and there are no DS6.1 package file do download?

I am getting more confused. I downloaded my binanry from the following page, which i believe is linking to 6.1 full download. I have installed that in my sandbox and played it.
Please confirm:

Ludovic,
I guess I found a bug with the patch application.
The README file states to stop ds/pds/ads but after applying the patch I had to restart the webconsole (/etc/init.d/webconsole) as well because the initial web page (https://server-name:6789) was not working anymore.
To ensure that the problem was not with my testing system, I tried the same patch with two more servers and the result was the same.

Which patch ? Native or Zip ?
I will check, but I believe webconsole should have been restarted by the patch post-install.
Ludovic.

Well, my mistake.
I asked the engineer in charge of the DSCC development, and he said that the patch does stop the webconsole if it runs, but does not restart it.
There is a reason for this which is tied to Java ES and its installer (as DSEE is also delivered and installed by the Java ES Installer).
The fact that the manual restart of sun web console is not mentioned in the release notes is a bug and will be fixed in the next patch release...
Thanks for reporting it.
Regards,
Ludovic.
