Java install problem

I'm trying to get the JRE to install on my new Vista machine. It keeps giving me an error like "Failure Time/Date stamp" towards the end of it's install process. I've tried changing my timezone (I'm in mountain), uninstalling and reinstalling via online and offline modes. No matter what I do I get the samed error. Any ideas?
