I've written my first web page and uploaded the files to a server, the html text appears on the page, BUT the applet does not, when i open the java console this is the error that i get. Thank you to anyone that can help! When i run the it from my local drive everything works

That error indicates that the .class file is not where you say it should be. The classloader is looking for TempConverter.class to be in the directory $HTTP_ROOT/alex/, and it isn't finding it there, so it complains.
