I am failing to manipulate the basic co-ordinates while drawing images

in applets..can anyone please suggest if any gud docs ..i m confusing between teh cordinates and width height measurement..can anyone suggest something..I knw this is height of stupidity to ask help for this..but i m failing to

draw proper stuffss..
