Java CAPS uninstall?

Hello,

I was installing the b2b suite in Java CAPS. And, after reading some documents i came to know that i might have uploaded the sar files in the wrong order. Now, i'd like to know is there anyway I can remove these fies from the repository? Also, what is the procedure for uninstalling Java CAPS?

Thanks,

Prateek

Hello Peter,

I *might* be incorrect, but I believe the uninstall process is pretty simple- in a windows enviroment anyway. No registry values are created or modified, so you can just navigate to the jcaps directory and remove.

As for the question about the order of the .sar's I believe that once you have eGate installed, you can do things in whatever order you want.

I am only new to JCAPS, but I hope I have been of assistance to you.

Regards,

Matthew.

Thanks for the reply, Mathew.

I apologize, I should have mentioned that I am running JCAPS on solaris 10.

And, i was installing the ASC X12 example that came along with the B2B suite, which told me to install the sar files in a particular order. I wonder if these files are interdependent?and if order really matters.

I do not believe there is an option to uninstall components from the repository at this point in time.

You could research how to uninstall the whole product and start again... but:

What is not operating correctly? Error messages?

Perhaps the install is not at fault?

Matthew.

Hi Prateek,

you should be able to install the sar files again, on top of the old implementation. At least in the case of JCAPS. i'm not sure about the sample, most of them are from early 2004 and apply to ICAN which had much more strickt interdependencies between the modules.

Good luck

Paul
