what is the alter native for struts action class in JSF?

To be honest, I am not familiar with Struts. But I suspect what you are looking for is a hook execute code based on a request. Your best bet is to go and get the JEE tutorial from Sun and work through the JSF section. It won't take very long and you will get familiar with the types of things at your disposal.
