Netbeans 6 plugin

I am using Netbeans 6m9 and would like to stop switching back to 5.5 just to use the plugin to WS7. Has anyone built the module, or can I build the module from CVS? I checked it out, but Netbeans 6 complains about some IO error when opening the project - possibly I don't have all the sources necessary to build it?
