http Server failing to start

Hi ,

I am trying to install Sun Java Communication suite 5 on my Fedora Core 6 box.

It got installed properly without any error. When i start the Calendar Server it gives me this Error

[root@Arjun ~]# /opt/sun/calendar/sbin/start-cal

Connecting to watcher ...

Launching watcher ...

Starting ens server ... 4384

Starting store server .... 4385

checking store server status .... ready

Starting notify server .... 4389

Starting admin server .............................................................. failed

Starting http server ............................................................... timeout

the admin server and te http server are not starting because of which the http server server is also not starting for instant messaging

I refered this link to install SJCS5.

Please help.

I am a fresher and need to configure SJCS5 On my system and use the sun java system calender.

Well this is a problem to begin with. Redhat 3 & 4 are supported. If you use Fedora Core 6 all bets are off.

Try again with a Redhat AS/ES 3 or 4 install and if you have problems we can go from there. The instructions were written based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS release 4 (Nahant Update 4).

Thank you shane for pointing out the mistake.I will let you know if i have got any problem after i install Red Hat AS 4.
