Options menu only shows Quick login and Exit ...

Sun Ray community:

We've just migrated from a Solaris 9 SPARC machine on which we run SRSS 3.1 to a new Solaris 10 x64 machine also running SRSS 3.1 with the addition of JDS 3.0. Because we used to only support CDE, I was hoping to allow our existing users to test out JDS instead of CDE, if they desired. We migrated home directories so their pre-existing .dt directories are still in play. However, for some reason .... maybe my error .... they don't get the option to select JDS or CDE under the "Options -> Sessions" menu item. All there is is "Quick login" and "Exit" under the "Options" menu (and no Sessions sub-menu at all. I'm not sure where these come from instead of the expected "Use Last Session", "CDE", "JDS", and "Failsafe session".

Should it contribute to this problem we run: "utpolicy -a -M -z both" which, I think is zero-administration mode with NSCM.

If anyone has any insights as to how to get back the Options -> Sessions menu instead of the options menu that only contains "Quick login" and "Exit", I'd appreciate the pointers.

Thanks,

John

What the user will do is turn quick login off. They will log in to the NSCM login screen. Once they log in there the user will get a standard UNIX login screen where they can choose CDE or JDS.From then on they just log in to NSCM and their last session type will load.
