new install
I have a clean HD and want to put Solaris 10 on it. I downloaded and burned the install onto 5 CD-r. When I boot the system, it doesn't boot to the CD rom. I have changed the boot sequence in the bios. What else do I need to do to start the install?

Sgt,
Just a wild shot in the dark, as if you've set your bios to boot from cdrom it should boot. You might have unfortunately created a coaster....meaning you didn't build a correct iso image. Hopefully, someone else might have another suggestion, otherwise you have to either try creating the iso again, or downloading the image again.

To expand on Dave S.'s suggestion, you can validate the downloaded and uncompressed images against the md5 sums provided on the download page. If they match, then you should be able to view the CD contents and see folders and files on it such as "Solaris_10".-- Alan
