metastat command help!!!

Please help!!! I have a SunFire V40z and am running Solaris 10.

When I run the metastat command I get the following message:

# metastat

d0: RAID

State: Needs Maintenance

Invoke: metareplace d0 c4t10d0s0 <new device>

Interlace: 32 blocks

Size: 1754571105 blocks (836 GB)

Original device:

Size: 1754586144 blocks (836 GB)

c4t9d0s0 330No OkayYes

c4t10d0s0330No MaintenanceYes

c4t11d0s0330No OkayYes

I tried to resync c4t10d0s0 but the problem came back a day later. Could someone point me in the right directionfor detaching the bad drive so I can run fsck and then reattach & resync it w/o hurting my system or having to bring it down?

I am reallynew tothis stuff. Any help would be appreciated.

Perhaps the disk is bad. If so, you'll want to replace it before doing another metareplace. You don't need to fsck anything. Your filesystem is still online.-- Darren
