Solaris 10 on a Gateway Laptop

Hello,

I just a bought a Gateway laptop that has Vista installed. I want to install Solaris 10 on the laptop and use it as a standalone system. I've looked all over the net to check if anyone has done the same. All I've seen is dual boot with vista and solaris. I've also used the Sun Device Detection Tool and it only works with XP. I just want to know if anyone has done this and has been successful?
