Hi,
I have tested encapsulating on Storage Foundation 5.0 on SPARC machine with Solaris 10. I have problem with encapsulating as well but I have followed the Veritas instructions and I was sucessful.
I have two internal 70 GB SCSI disks.
1. Ensure that:
* The disk has two free partitions for the public and private regions.
* The disk has an s2 slice.
* The disk has a small amount of free space (at least 1 megabyte at the
beginning or end of the disk) that does not belong to any partition. If the
disk being encapsulated is the root disk, and this does not have sufficient free space available, a similar sized portion of the swap partition is used insead
2. Run vxdiskadm command and select menu item 2 (Encapsulate one or more disks)
3. Follow the instructions
4. After reboot disks should be encapsulated.
Do you use the disk from Disk Array for encapsulating?
