Unable to connect to inet service on Solaris 10

Hi,

I am unable to connect to a service registerd in /etc/inet/services on Solaris 10 from a remote HP server. I have convert the /etc/inet/inetd.conf file to SMF database using

inetconv -fi /etc/inet/inetd.conf command.

So i need to execute any other steps to connect to inet services from remote machine.
