Sun Fire V40z - LCD output "OS Booting"

Dear all,I am running VMWare ESX 3.0 on 16 Sun Fire V40z.When I query the SP for the OS state (platform get os state) I always get "OS booting" even when the OS has finished.Is there a way to have the right state displayed ?Many thanks.--Eric

Hi Eric,
I believe this is because the host OS is not communicating with the SP. If you follow the official OS install procedure (google for it on the sun knowledgebase) it will make reference to an additional procedure involving a Sun supplied CD.
The procedure is slightly different for each OS, but I believe that is you problem.
