How to influence keyboard mapping in a RDP session?

Hi,

we are using SGD 4.3 with W2k3 Terminal Servers (Application is Navision 4), on german environments.

When connecting through SGD 4.3 to the application, some users reported that the screen gets locked while typing. Then they have to press the Windows-Key and unlock the screen to continue.

It seems like an odd RDP keyboard shortcut is the reason why the screen gets locked, i think it is "shift+tab+L" Those Users use Alt+TAb to switch to another local application e.g. Outlook.

Question is, how to influence/deactivate this behaviour? I know it sounds like a windows prob, but we have our old tarantella 3.8 system still in use and with this version those problems won't occur.

Any ideas appreciated...

regards

I've gotten the same issue I think from a user testing in 4.3 as well. He claims the Windows key is pressed.

Example - When 'r' is pressed, Run Window is getting opened, When 'e' is pressed, Explorer is opening.

I don't have the issue here in the US, but the user is in India. This didn't happen with 4.2. Not sure if he is using a different keymap or not, but I doubt it. The Windows objects are imported from 4.2 so it's the same config.

there exists some keyboard mapping files in /opt/tarantella/etc/data/keymaps but since they are not very well documentated i dunno what to change :o

ok maybe i found a solution, but its not proofed yet:in the xgerman.txt file, change entry 199 and 200 from Meta to NoSymbol.Meta is a Key which is only supported on sun keyboards. Also this changes allow us to use "backslash" key which didnt work either...

I'm not sure if that will help since the user is using the default Unix User profile with no specific keymap, which is used by all our users. (I don't see the setting either, except Preferred Locale which is Automatic.

I have a Person object and my keyboard map is set to "Use XPE setting".

I'll play around some more. I need to find out if India uses different types of keyboard.

I will try out 4.31 as the changelog states: windows-key is disabled by default for rdp sessions.i think that is causing the mess in 4.30.915...
