iMS5.2 HA with Veritas Cluster Software to JES5 HA

We are in the process of protyping a conversion from 5.2 to 6.2.

In ims5.2 there is a specific shared partition for each of our 3 mail servers. This partition has all binaries and data so failover is as simple as remounting the partition assigned to a failed node on a healty node, and restarting the instance.

JES 5 looks to me like it can work similarly but the install looks to have two places (at least) that have to be remounted and restarted. In our case the software is installed on partition /msrv1 with the config files on /var/msrv1. Other nodes/partitions will be msrv2, msrv3, msrv4. This scheme allows us to handle the partitions based on corresponding nodenames...

I have simplified the process involved but my question is:

Can we handle JES 5 in a similar fashion as we are handling ims5.2 as far the aspect of failover of an email instance assigned to a specific IP address? We have had all 3 email instances on one node with ims5.2 and life continues to be good...

Thanks for the sanity check.

Yes, two places, though one may be a link to the other one.yes, you can do basically the same thing you're used to doing.
