i'm working in company with more than 500 emloyes.
and we need to make E-mail server, and we confuse between MS exchange and the java Massaging server.
so wherecan i find information about Sun Java Messaging server features and Doc about installaton and configuration.
I may be prejudiced, but there are vast differences in the different servers.
Messaging Server was designed to scale to very large installations, and survive with little administrative overhead. It's an "open" system, meaning that it uses all industry standard protocols, and will interact with other systems well.
Exchange is designed to give some additional features, but requires much more admin time and maintaince. There are many propriatary features that don't inter-operate with other systems. One such example is the "un-send mail" feature.It works, ONLY within Exchange. Once the message leaves, you can't recall it.
I run Messaging Server for 5 people. I support customers that put a million users on a box. Same software.
