IMPORTANT WARNING - PLEASE READ
As you may or may not be aware there is a bug in this forum which is being exploited to post fake messages, alter profiles and post offensive images over threads.
After some consideration it has become apparent to me that this exploit could be exploited in worse ways then it is currently. On the one hand I did not want to post this message because I do not want to encourage such activity but I cannot in good conscience not say anything and entrust Sun to repair this severe flaw when they have repeatedly shown no interest and/or no competence to do so.
The exploit in it's worst form could
- crash your browser
- crash your system
- install spyware, viruses and trojans
And all of these could happen to you by simply viewing a thread. Being logged in or not to this site would not make a difference. I should also note that you are not saved from all such exploits by using a different browser or operating system.
On the basis of this IHIGHLY recommend leaving this site for your protection until such time as Sun repairs this serious flaw. I have suggested to Sun that they should post a message that the flaw is fixed in either their maintainence forum or on the front page of the forums.
