performance issues with java 1.4

Hi,I have migrated my project from java 1.3.1_03 to java 1.4.2_05this is creating performance issues i.e. very high responce time.can someonle plz tell me if there is some problem with this JRE version

Don't know specifically about 1.4.2_05, but nothing with v.1.4.2_04

Any specific reason that you want 1.4.2 Update 5? If you get the latest update for 1.4.2 then you get the Daylight Savings time upgrade along with it.There are some differences between the two, however you will have to debug it yourself to find out exactly what is taking longer.

Good point ... Forgot about the DST thing ... I just applied the patch for it at the time. I can't see why that would slow things up though ... hmmm

So did these help you? The answer I am reading is that the only improbable ause might be a DST thing. But the solution is probably to upgrade and retry.
