Colors distorted in remotely displayed application

Hi ppl

I'm dealing with some strange X11 displaying problem here. The setup looks as follows:

SMC 3.6.1 server. For security reasons, I want to run the console application (es-start -c) directly on the server. I connect to the server by SSH and X11Forwarding enabled. When I start the console, the login screen shows distorted graphics for the first 2-3 times. If I repeat to stop and start again the console for a few times, the colors are correct and everything works fine.

Any ideas?

Rgds,

Dominik

No ideas, but I've seen that before, far too many times. Seems to afflict SMC and updatemanager...Doesn't happen for me now, maybe one of the patches I've applied has fixed it?

I guess it's related to Java processes displayed over network links as both SMC and updatemanager are written in Java.Perhaps I should post that thread to one of the Java forums here.Rgds,Dominik
