Problem while installing

Hi all,

I am trying to install "java_ee_sdk-5_01-windows" on windows vista and i am getting installation wizard open and with message

unsupported installation platform detected

you are currectly attempting to install this product on an unsupported platform and/or patch level. For a list of supported platforms and required patches ,please review the release notes.continuing to products on the current system may have undesirable effects.

and it is allowing me to install the jdk.

Actually.. i install "java-tools-bundle-windows-ml" and tried to on sun application server which didnt started saying unauthorized access.

i came to know that is MCAfee issue.. so changed the register key of it and i am not getting that error. But next time when running server again .. it stopped immediatly...

please help me out on what i need to do for installing "jdk ee" and net beans.

thank you

Hi,

With windows vista, most applications do now work. But you may also want to check the windows firewall in the control panel. Under General tab, check the Off check box. Also you could right click the short cut of the application server or go to All programs\ Sun Microsystems\Application Server..., on 'Start default Server', right click, select properties, Compatibility, then in compatibility mode, check the check box, select window's xp in the drop down menu provided. Hopefully, this will work.
