What is IDM ?

After using IDM for a while I elaborated idea of what Sun IDM is.

# IDM is an interface, proxy, adapter to typical backends used for storing LDAP-like data.

# It can be used through graphical (web) user interface.

# It can be used through programmic interfaces.

## I know how to use SPML and RemoteSession.

## I have idea of what XPress is.

## I noticed there exists also interface called "API", but I dont know how to use it. Any tips please?

## There is also javascript "interface" (lh/lh.bat). Can it be used for something else than playing with APIs?

Please correct me if I wrote something wrong.
