netbeans 7.1 IDE

I have upgraded my idm netbeans 7.0 plug-in to 7.1. Now I am trying to open a project I created with the 7.0 plug-in and nothing happens. I checked the IDE Log and there are no errors. Is it possible to use a project created with the 7.0 plug-in?Thanks,Robin
