Safari BETA on Windows
I know it's new beta software still, but has anyone tried and gotten an applet to run in Safari on Windows? (We use object/embed tags.)
Safari's plugins directory does have some Java plugin files, but they are not a full JRE, only stub hooks.
Yes, I have Java in my PATH and a JAVA_HOME variable in the system, but that doesn't seem to help.
The Apple site only links to the Java 6.1 download, which the installer for which doesn't recognize Safari on Windows (which I didn't expect it to anyway).
Copying the plugin dll files from the JRE install (which typically works on Mozilla browsers) doesn't work for Safari.
And I don't see any configuration files in Safari that one could update.
Not that I want to start messing with config files or registry entries. Shouldn't have to, and can't be asking clients to do that.
