Ultra 20M2 Keyboard error

Hi,

I have been having problems with getting Bloomberg keyboards to work on our Ultra20M2 workstations. At boot, Post screen we are getting the Keyboard error "Press F1 to continue" etc and the keyboard is not responding. Standard Sun keyboard works fine. I have upgraded the bios to 1.45 and still the problem occurs

Seems to be some sort of BIOS related error as is not OS dependant.

Thanks

Peter

Yes, U20M2 machines are VERY picky about keyboards. I've been able to get other keyboards to work by unplugging/re-plugging them in at the error, then pressing F1. Very annoying to have to do that everytime the computer boots up, but that's all I've found that works...

I'm using an original Microsoft Natural keyboard (not the later Elite model) using a Startech ps/2 to USB adaptor and having no problems whatsoever. I had problems using a USB keyboard but this is my preferred one and once I got the adaptor it was fine.
