Coldfusion MX and Sun Web Server 7

Has anyone installed Coldfusion MX (version 7) with the newest Sun Web server 7? I have tried using the instructions I had for Sun Web 6.x and the new Sun Web server 7 installation does not process the CFM pages. I can find any docs on configuration of Sun Web 7 with CF MX.-Dan

Coldfusion 8 is on the way with official Sun Web Server 7 support ! Still available only for Solaris on SPARC, but not for x86. Docs and CF8 RC download at http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/coldfusion8/--Thorleif Wiik http://www.wiik.de

I recently installed CFMX7 on Web Server 7 and it's running fine. I did have an ISAPI error during installation, but I clicked through and the only issue I have found is that the link to the admin console in the Start Menu doesn't work.

I had been playing with APACHE 2.2.4 prior, so I had updated the wsconfig.jar file.

Yes, CF8 looks impressive! I would like to go with a vendor-supported version, rather than trying to make CFMX7 work with Web Server 7 on my own. I'm pretty sure I could do that, but not sure if Adobe tech support would help me if issues arise. I made an initial go at installing it. The install didn't work, but it seems to be due to path differences between the Sun WS 6.1 and WS 7 configurations. The WS config files themselves don't look that different, at least as far as CF is concerned. So, I could do it if my life depended on it, but if the option is available, I want to see vendor version support. Hopefully CF8 will ship soon!!! Would also like to see the Sun WS 7 maintenance release out there soon, as well.
