passed my SCJP today

Hello all,I passed my Scjp with 69%. i did not do good at all in generics and threads. Oh well just wanted to share a little bit of my happiness :).Kathy sierra book number1.

Hello,

Iam Saideep doing my Master's @ IIIT, Hyderabad. I am planning to take my SCJP examsination in the month of October. Could anyone of you suggest any ideas for preparation and duration assuming me as a tyro in Java.

And also , it would be more helpful if you could tell me if there are any worth institutes that offer training for the certification in Hyderabad, India.

Read books on SCJP preprations like:

-Khaled Moughal

-Kathy

Practice on SCJP dumps,if you want to purchase them you can find it from Whizlabs

-Get in touch with people who like you are preparing to appear for SCJP.They can provide you best help in terms of resources that they have and ready to share with you.

-Not sure on who are authorised trainers/insti in your place for SCJP prep...go check it out in nearest propmetric center near to you

Generics and Threads is very Simple , if you know How its work such wildCards ... etc you will take a good score when iam took the exam i get 90% in Generics and 85% in Threadsthe most pooring thing is API 55%

wow thanks for the replies. sorry i did'nt come online. anyway the test was pretty easy. If you have read kathy sierra book that's enough and enthuware software also.

Secondly i failed kathy cd exam did not even passed any one of them but was happy to pass my certification exam. Kathy exams are really hard i mean very hard. so dont worry if you fail.

Kathy sierra book and enthuware software. one of my favorite questions in the exam was :

System.out.printf("PI is approximately %f and E is approximately %b", Math.PI, Math.E);

I love this question lol..

can u help me. actually, i have passed my scjp in june 05,2007.

i have received my score sheet also. but today(20th june.2007) i have entered my detials in ceritification database by click on "first time users" link. but i had recived reply as "invalid user and can't find user name in the database". now, what i will do? how can i geting my details into ceritificate. my score sheet is available now.

I just few days back, i passed SCJP exam with 65%(47/72) but i am happy with these marks as i have to give it in hurry!!I read only Kathey seira, its good book :)

Just I like java. So I did.

Now I am preparing for scwcd exam in my self. At the same time I like python also.

Universities mainly concentrate about theory part. Like dbms, software engineering techniques, mathematics.

So if you try to do this kind of exams like scjp (or if you interest in network field, then cisco, Redhat certifications) you can get valuable technical knowledge. But you should have interest in that areas. Other wise no point to do professional exams.
