Adding software.

I'm trying to add some software to a Solaris machine and am finding it a little frustrating.

I would like to add the package that contains PKCS #11 libraries and headers so I can use some of these functions to do some encryption.

There is some documentation for this here:

http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/816-4863/6mb20lvgt?a=view

My question is, how in the world do I find out what package provides these libraries and headers and how do I know where to find the package?

I believe it may be the SUNwconn package, but do I need to look through every CD to try and find the file?

What if I wanted to add some other piece of software later on? There's got to be a more efficient way to do this than to Google around hoping to find the SUNw* package name then search through all my CD's.. :-)

This is for a Solaris 9 SPARC system btw.

Thanks in advance.

Look for the pdf called "Packing list" on docs.sun.com.It will list out all of the packages and what each of them do.Ok, at least it's all contained in one document and you shouldn't have to go through Google to get the data.alan
