Sun Crypto Accelerator SCA6000 and missing driver for RHEL4

When installing SCA6000 drivers on a RHEL4 update 5, I get the following error:

Checking Kernel Info...

System Kernel = 2.6.9-55.ELsmp

Kernel Version: 2.6.9, Build Number: 55, Kernel type: ELsmp

Distribution redhat

2.6.9-55.ELsmp found

Kernel build number 55 requires additional driver

...

Error: cannot locate driver scaf_2.6.9-55.ELsmp.ko

Error: failed to execute /opt/sun/sca6000/bin/scaf_load

...

When looking into the install script it is supposed to provide a link to the driver source, but it seems that someone forgot to fill that in:

# Source location for the driver

SRC_LOCATION="<Driver Source Location>"

Does anyone know how to run the card with this official RedHat kernel?

Hello Nicolas, these boards are usally very expensive. If RHEL4 (or a previous release) is listed as supported, open a service case with Sun and RedHat.At least they can tell you if updated drivers are/will be available...Michael

Actually the card is really affordable at only $1300, but I would expect it to come with appropriate drivers with OS listed as supported (Red Hat Linux 4.0 and SUSE Linux 9.x) without having to get a support contract.

Anyway, they also offer open source code on the webpage, but I received nothing back from Sun so far.

Tried Sun phone support and they only had a link to the old driver. Requested the open source driver (per website) and nobody seems to know where it is.
