installation

I am trying to install solaris 9 but when i put the dvd disk in the computerI turn on the computer but dose not read disk same with the cdhow do i install solaris 9

Can you please clarify your question? Where did you get that DVD? Do you have any way how to check disk integrity (for example some MD5 hash of ISO)? Which operating system are you using? Do I understand correctly you tried to boot from that DVD?
