nvidia nForce Network nic (nge driver) not recoginzed
I have a Transtec Senyo Machine on which I installed Solaris 10 6/06. It does not recognize the Network.
It has a NVIDIA?Quadro?NVS 210 chip set with NVIDIA?nForce?430B NIC. The nge module gets not loaded, upon boot, and I have of course nod /dev/nge
Any idea on how to track this down?

All,I have a similar problem with a Sun Ultra 40 running the NVIDIA chip set. The nge connection when it is recognized seems to be running at half duplex, sends packets does not receive. This is a factory load.Anyone else seeing this problem?

Hi Daines,
i found two solutions:
1. The nfo driver (nvidia embedded NIC open source driver) from http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/eng/ worked for me.
2. I installed Solaris 10 11/06 (u3) instead of 06/06 (u2). With this release the nge driver works fine for me.
