Java null pointer after patching Solaris 10 11/06

Hello

Few days ago I have installed Solaris 10 11/06 on my VMWare Server, then I applied vmware tools. The system was fine. After this I decided to install all patches using Updatemanager. There were about 100 of them. The Updatemanager has downloaded everything and installed most of them.

Since then I have big problem with Java. Mostly, after starting Java based applications I receive only error message "lang/JavaNullPointerAssignment" without any additional information. Other reaction is just no reaction, no splash screens of programs, no error messages, nothing. Another Solaris 10 11/06 built in the same way two months ago work fine until today, but it has only 76 updates installed.

Does setting of non existing DNS serwer and domain name could cause this? Any ideas what should I check or how to fix it?

Accidentally I have noticed, that this problem occurs after installing VMWare Tools for Solaris 10. Fresh installed system with applied all patches works fine until I install vmware tools. Uninstalling vmware tools solves this problem. Are there any Java configuration files connected with pcn0 interface?
