Booting off CDROM

An update to previous post.

I have an Enterprise 3500 that will not boot off the cdrom.

At OK prompt I entered:

OK> limit-ecache-size

(Without entering above command, boot cdrom just hangs forever)

then

OK> boot cdrom

Bad Magic number in disk label

Can't open disk label package

Can't open boot device

Any ideas? I am using the Solaris 10 CD1 for Sparc shipped from Sun.

Thanks!

limit-ecache-size should not be required for any OS after Solaris 2.6. I would suspect either a bad CD drive or bad media. -- Darren

Darren, it was a CDRom firmware issue: http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-21-111649-04-1&search clause=dvd%20firmwareThanks!

Actually I can now mount cd's from within the OS, but still can't boot off of cd or dvd.
