Solaris 10 Installed with VMware Server 1.0.3 free version

Hello

I am a beginner in S 10 and planned to start learning it installing S 10 on a VMware server 1.0.3 (free) on my machine where I have win xp pro pre-installed. I downloaded S 10 SW as ISO for CD and installed the same. My problem is the entire file system on S 10 seems read-only and I do not have access to create/change any new/existing file.

Can u help?

What account are logged as? You can type "who" command without the quotation. You should be logged in a root. Root has total control of the system. If you want to go to the root account type "su" command.
