User root was partially modified

hi! I've a newly setup sun solaris 10 server. When i try to change the password for root. It prompted me the message:

"The Management server cannot perform the operation requested. If this problem persist, refer to the log viewer for additional information and contact SUN Microsystems Support provider."

"The actual error reported was: User root was partially modified. See the error log for further details"

In the log : "The details for User root were not fully retrieved. The Users Full Name could not be retrieved due to an unknown error"

However, the password changing still take effect, but why the error message above was prompted? Is that normal?....please advise. Thanks.
