Installing nevad b63 on a laptop

I have an athlon64 laptop. Solaris 10U3 runs fine. However, when I wanted to test root zfs I dowloaded and burned solaris express b63. The laptop boots from the DVD, the menu comes up, I choose developer edition and after 10 seconds of .....

the laptop powers off. I cannot see a setting (ala linux which has an install option with no acpi) which will alow me to avoid this. An ideas ?

Lest I didn't make it clear :

When I boot I editted the bootline in menu.lst to include pci=noacpi

which seems to work for linux. The laptop still powers down about 10 seconds into the boot phase. Does anyone have visibility of what I might do?

I see no way to turn power management off in the bios so that does not appear to be an option.

Thanks.
