power-off on a E250 under bootprom - now it wont boot up
We have an enterprise 250 on which we wanted to shutoff the power, so from the bootprom we executed power-off and now I'm not able to turn it on. I do have the key and I can see that both power supplies have current for their lED is green.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, I've been running in circles with this.
Thnx

Hello,
if the RSC is configured (and the RSC client installed for graphical access), you can try to attach either to the network port or serial port of the RSC (only one these these ports is active at a time).
The RSC only requires that the power-supply is attached to AC.
... from the bootprom we executed power-off and now I'm not able to turn it on.
Turning the key in the ON position should power-on the system (this is the current setting after issuing the power-off command).
Did you issue the command from a directly attached keyboard (press the power-on button in the upper right corner) or serial A (this means he RSC is inactive at the moment) ?

I found the answer, the problem was that the left cover wasn't shut well enought so the sensor was interrupting the power to the unit as per
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/805-3399-11
...opened the unit and made sure that it was closed properly, and it came back up with no problems.
I thank you for your reply.
