1.4.2 JAR compatible under 1.5.8 JRE ?

Hi,

We have an application that been compiled and runs under a 1.5.8 JRE. It uses some libraries that been compiled under 1.4.2 JRE.

My question is : is this supported ? It think so, but i would like a confirmation please that a newer JRE (1.5.8) will support JAR files created under an older JRE (1.4.2).
