JRE 142_09 & 150_04 error - program shuts down

Hello,

I hope you can help me with this, hopefully small, problem.

The program our compan uses requires us to use either one of these in order to read the documents on line. Everything was working fine up until about 3 weeks ago. Now whenever I open it, it opens the file, brings the Java frame with buttons down the left side but just as the document opens the whole program shuts down, losing the original IE6 search window.

Any ideas?

I'm running XP Home edn. 2002 SP2.

Something I must add is that this entire problem began immediately AFTER a window appeared on the screen telling me that accelerators.dlls must be checked for updates.

I clicked on o.k. and from then on it was curtains.

Have uninstalled & reinstalled the progs and don't see the same update request. So just how do I uninstall it?

What is it supposed to do and how do I un-install it.....have removed all traces of JAVA & downloaded fresh, still nothing
