How to get GD lib up and started

Hi Folks, I installed CSKamp (Apache 2.2.3, PHP 5.2.0, MySQL 5.0.33) and afterwards CSKphplibs (Freetype, Curl, gd, gdbm, gettext, gmp, imap, tidy, unixODBC) but it does not appear that GD support is currently enabled. I've dug around pretty deeply for documentation but can find none.

I'm getting the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function gd_info()

Any suggestions/help to enable GD support would be much appreciated.
