It's possible that "srting" meant "sorting" and not "string". But if you abbreviate your words, you have to be prepared for people to misunderstand them.

No clue why the OP wrote that, but obviously there is more than one way to deal with strings, other than String itself, such as StringBuilder and CharSequence.
