Installing update to Java SE 1.5.0 - need help

I've downloaded Java 2 Platform SE 1.5.0 and I have been prompted to download the new 1.60 version. I've tried downloading and installing but it is saying that there isn't enough hard disk space to achieve this.

Not long ago I re-installed a recovery version of Windows XP onto my computer (system restore) and this has re-installed onto the RECOVERY C: drive. so my hard drive is now split into the C: drive and WINDOWS I: drive.

I think it automatically tries to download onto the (Full) C: drive when I want it to install onto the I: drive like all other programmes.

How do I do this?

I have succesfully downloaded 1.6.0 onto the I: drive but am wishing to install this file, but it is now saying no space.

Any ideas>

Merge your drives into a single partition.

Otherwise, do the offline installation option, and choose to download it to your main drive, then run it - and select the appropriate drive to install it to.

Otherwise, delete ALL JDK/SDK versions. Then download offline to your main drive, and continue.

Or better yet - do all three.

u'll definitely need space on ur C drive regardless of which drive u are going to install the SDK. All the temporay files for installation are added to the C drive and then transferred to the drive of ur choice... So u'll have 2 either free up space in C or merge the drives... Windows always uses the drive in which the OS is setup for storin temporary files... After installation these are deleted...
