mail forwarding problem

Hi All,

I am having a problem with a user;

when i try sending from any user from *@mycompany.com.sr to specific_user@mycompany.com.fti get the below error:

Domain <mycompany.com.sr > refused connection - <MAIL FROM: 550 5.7.1 Authentication required 5.5.0>

for the following users:

specific_user@mycompany.com.sr

Knowing that mail forwarding is enabled on specific_user@mycompany.com.ft

When i try sending from outside domain to the same user the mail get delivered

Date: Mon, 28 May 2007 19:23:28 +0300

From: outside_user@domain.com

To: specific_user@mycompany.com.ft

Subject: test mail

Your message has been successfully relayed to the recipients

Recipient address: specific_user@mycompany.com.org

Original address: specific_user@mycompany.com.ft

Reason: Message successfully relayed to a system that does not support receipts

Scotty

Hi Scotty,

What version of messaging server are you running?

I can say up front that it sounds like a channel has mustsasl enabled.

This would cause emails to be rejected within say the tcp_intranet domain (defined by INTERNAL_IP) unless the sender authenticated. Also it would explain why external (tcp_local) hosts could send email successfully.

Are you able to get the mail.log_current line from the messaging server that is rejecting the email which matches the attempt?
