problems with installation of WTK 2.5
hi together,
i have installed jdk1.6.0_01 & eclipse under Windows XP. i tested both with a hello world programm & both worked well.
them i wanted to install sun_java_wireless_toolkit-2_5-windows, but it failed. by a installations-window with the title "Java(TM) Virtual Machine" appeared the followind error-windows:, when i let the default destination folder on "C:\Programme\Java\jdk1.6.0_01":
1.) window with titel "Java Virtual Machine Launcher"
with the message "could not find the main class. progrm will exit"
2.) window with titel "Java (TM) Version"
with the message "the directory that you have chosen does not include a suitable Java(TM) Virtual Machine"
i have tried all possible subdirectories of the default destination folder. in the most cases appeared only the 2. error-window without the 1. error-window.
i also installed jdk1.5.0_11 & tried several dictionaries. but nothing work & there are the same error-windows.
i have read here that other guys have similar problems, but i didn't find any answer.
therefore i send this detailed description & hope for help.
i found some articles with remarks to classpath?
on my system there are no java-env-variables set, but the PATH variable, where i added the string "C:\Programme\Java\jdk1.6.0_01\bin". i also don't see any sun-remark for setting variables for installing sun_java_wireless_toolkit-2_5-windows.
what have i to do to install sun_java_wireless_toolkit-2_5-windows?
can i use it with jdk1.6.0_01?
