How many Installation CD to install solaris 8 ?
When I boot up the first cd, it asked for the second cd....
Total number of cd = (boot cd x 1pc ) + (installation cd x 2pcs) ?
= 3 pcs of cd ?
Is this correct ?

Yes, you're guessed correctly.
That first disk is generally considered by many to be a useless piece of garbage.
It's bootable and usually just gets in the way of actually getting to where you want to go:
... install the OS.
The other two will be labelled disk 1 of 2 and disk 2 of 2,
and are the actual real OS install media.
Boot from OS disk 1 of 2 and proceed with your installation.
Use that "#0 of three" disk as a shiny flickering piece of plastic, hanging from
the rear-view mirror of your automobile.
