how to send reminder mails to managers

Hi ,

I have a problem where in when a job change occurs through MIIS,ifno action is taken by the manager a mail should trigger to him after 5 days andfurther ifno action is taken a mail should trigger to manager's manager after 10 days...I'am not understanding like how to trigger the mail.
