Multi-valued attribute

we have a multi-valued user defined attribute "groupmemberof" in every user entry of our DS.This attribute will let one know the groups a user belongs to..

We are also having Dynamic groups with filters based on this attribute....My doubt is....each user does have a membership in atleast 7-8 groups....and similarly we have around many groups ...around 100...

So does the performance have any impact if this attribute "groupmemberof" have around 10 different values in each user entry...

Iam aware of the Roles concept...but we are trying to stick with only Dynamic Groups mechanism.....Any reply is appreciated...
